Just How Important is “The Facebook”
I’ve been working on the Social Networking portion of the Services Page and I wrote about the following Facebook story:
Take for instance the case of comedian Stephen Colbert’s “fake” Presidential Campaign in 2008. Colbert announced on his popular show (The Colbert Report) and in less than a week had a Facebook Group up that had over one million members nationwide. Barack Obama’s one million strong group only has 500,000 people and he is a real candidate! Surprisingly, the anti-Hillary Clinton Facebook Group has over 800,000 people. (Go figure!) Imagine what your venture could do with a million members - heck, imagine what you could do with a thousand!
Now this got me thinking: just how important is “The Facebook?”
Draft Kleeb: Mission Accomplished?
Rarely do I fly the mission accomplished flag early but is Scott Kleeb getting into the Senate race?
Democrat Scott Kleeb is expected to join the race for U.S. Senate next week. A source with knowledge of Kleeb’s plans said the Hastings resident has decided to run.
On Wednesday, Kleeb would say only that he’d made a decision and would have an announcement on Monday. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because Kleeb hasn’t made his announcement yet.
